Ford 1953 NAA Tractor

The tractor didn’t want to stop normally stopping a tractor isn’t much of a concern due to how big the tires are and how slow they move. Tractors naturally come to a quick stop. Issues become when on a hill and you need to stop. I found a lot of dirt, and oil covering the brake pads. I was lucky as the brakes would engage when pressed. After a little clean up work the brakes started working again.

The hydraulic fluid flows. I have a few videos on the tractor and a few on the hydraulic system. It is important to remember to use 90W gear oil. The newer hydraulic fluid is to thin and will not function property in these older tractors. When working on a tractor this old its important to remember the technology at the time.
